You can park a film on a frame and have a discussion about it, point to the different aspects, everyone’s looking at the same thing at the same time. Audio is a different story. Sound plays and then it’s gone, you can play it again, but you can’t freeze it. This fleeting attribute of sound opens the door for your expectations, prejudices, and predisposition to change your perception of what you heard.
